Not a defect when
The replaced type is valid for the all-zero bit pattern, such as a plain integer or a repr(C) struct of integers, and mem::zeroed is used deliberately as its value.
What it reads
Clippy, with the compiler behind it. The only pass that compiles.
Tier
Serious: worth interrupting other work for.
The tier bounds how severe a rule may be; its category bounds the tier.Diff scope
